Critical Lake Safety ConcernsWe are writing to alert you about some serious safety issues on our lake that have been observed recently. These include: (Things NOT to do!) Passengers on pontoon boats sitting on the “front deck” (beyond the front gate while the engine is on Boats less than 100 feet from the shore, boats, anchored boats, docks, rafts, and other structures Creating a wake when less than 200 feet of any dock, boat, raft, shoreline, buoy or occupied swim area.
These behaviors are very dangerous and could lead to severe injury or death! The Sheriff is not always on the lake to educate and enforce the safety rules, so we need your cooperation and responsibility. We are lucky that we have not had any tragic accidents on Pine Lake like other lakes nearby. Our lake is more crowded than ever, so we urge you to follow the boater safety guidelines and avoid the above risks. Please be careful and respectful on the lake! Elaine Coffman, Vice President
