Purpose for Treatment #2
Our weed management consultant, Progressive, advises that overall the lake weed treatments have been successful, with only a few additional areas needing treatment. More details to come regarding an update on lake weed management and our mid-summer treatment in the August newsletter.

1. FOR BOATERS and SWIMMERS – Please stay off lake through the next morning!

You will likely see the Savin lake weed applicator boat on the lake that day. Large wakes and waves are disruptive to the lake weed application process. We ask everyone to avoid swimming and boating to avoid disrupting the water over the weeds where treatments will be applied.

2. FOR ANYONE WITH SPRINKLERS USING LAKE WATER – TURN THEM Off!

Savin recommends all sprinklers drawing lake water should be turned off for 3 DAYS at the application rate being applied (5 days for food crops and production ornamentals). We have not had damage after 24 hours in the past, but this is the official recommended wait time.
