Weed Treatment Update

Thank you for your cooperation in staying off the lake following the recent weed treatment. Please note that Progressive and Board Members will conduct a follow-up survey on the lake in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for detailed findings in our August Newsletter.

Lake Level Update

After the large rain on June 25, the lake level is at 931.55 which is very close to the ideal level, especially going into July.

Lost & Found

Due to the recent high winds and water levels, we urge you to secure your shoreline items more effectively. If you find any items washed up or have lost items, please email us with a description and photos, if possible. While we cannot store these items, we will assist in reuniting them with their owners through our website, newsletter, and Facebook page.

Boating Safety - Please be careful and respectful on the lake!

Stacey - Do you want to add safety concerns for the holiday weekend?

Boating Safety Concerns (What NOT to Do!)

• Boaters on the lake traveling the wrong way

• PWC’s going the wrong way and driving too close to boat sterns

• Playing speakers too loud. Sound travels across the water.

• Wake-boarding too close to shore (100 ft violation)

• Young passengers sitting on the bow of pontoon, dangling their feet in the water while in motion

• Boats towing skiers, tubers, wake boarders and surfers without a life jacket/personal floatation device or observer

• Passengers on pontoon boats sitting on the “front deck” (beyond the front gate

  while the engine is on

• Boats less than 200 feet from the shore, boats, anchored boats, docks, rafts, and other structures

• Creating a wake when less than 200 feet of any dock, boat, raft, shoreline, buoy or occupied swim area.

  The buoy in front of the Marina cautions boaters that this is a wake zone.

  These behaviors are very dangerous and could lead to severe injury or death!

Boating Safety Reminders

• Follow Michigan Boater requirements

• Navigation lights at dusk

• Stay in the deep water path!

• No skiing, tubing, or surfing 1 hour after sunset

• Stay out of ski course and away from buoys

• Holidays, especially July 4th weekend, are very busy.

• Be patient and be mindful of safety. Wake will be challenging for many boating activities

• Violation of Distance Requirement – 200 ft No Wake 7/24

• PWC‘s are not allowed from Sunset to 8 AM per Michigan law
